The Grape Review

Clearly anything from a grape is good. I know there are some people out there that don't like raisins - but seriously, if you didn't wear sunscreen and you were left to frizzle in the sun forever, you wouldn't come off looking much better either.

So let's be fair and reasonable and give the grape the gratitude it deserves.

Grape Seed Extract (GSE) is the new super-seed! Rich in antioxidants, phenolic acids, anthocyanins, flavonoids, and oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes (OPCs).

Let's talk English and find out why this is obviously so good for us.

The high anti-oxidants found in grapes (seed and skin) help to prevent cell and tissue damage, stress and inflammation.

Research shows that the polyphenols found in all grapes can help fight illness and protect our lungs, liver, heart and brain from various aging diseases and cancers.

Here's a quick list of illnesses that polyphenols may help fight:

1) Alzheimer's disease

2) Cancers

3) Heart disease

4) Diabetes

5) Osteoporosis

6) Lung disease

Grapes are known to relieve:

1) Allergies

2) Migraines

3) Digestive disorders

Grapes help to support and maintain:

1) Eye health

2) Kidney functions

3) Bone health

4) Heart health

5) Skin & hair health

Quite frankly after all that, I'm amazed that this sweet little fruit really hasn't received more accolades.

Until next time,

Stay healthy, stay true, stay you.
